OYO Hotel Memphis TN I-40

My stay wasn't bad, the people who worked there where respectful. I would stay there again

This hotel was nice to stay in for the night. The staff was able to fix any issues that arose in my stay immediately. The location was convenient with food options surrounding it.

The outside of the hotel needs some work and windows are really crappy. The place needs a update or two but the employees r nice and even tho check out is at 11 am the don't care if it takes u a extra half hour or so they come up and warn ya but they r pretty good with ya if u r running behind, and the beds r amazing I love the place if im.being honest and just cuz it's old and needs updates and repairs it just means that it has storeys to tell and has it's own story. It also has a big function room and it's own restaurant but it's closed right now. The bonus part of the whole place it's one of the cheapest places in the city I found so far and does weekly and monthly rents not all the rooms has a ice box or microwave but there is a microwave down n the main lobby

All the staff but one is nice polite and helpful. I am going on 70 and don't like rudeness or unkindness. Nor do I like someone just sitting on their behinds being ugly and rude. I worked for years at a motel. Not once did I gripe at the people renting the rooms I cleaned. They paid my salary and my good tips. I don't need someone with BRIGHT pink hair and rude. Even if laundry was done we had extra for accidents. I bled on my sheet and it didn't need to stay on the bed and become so stained that it needed to be thrown out. Rudeness to me goes hand in hand with stupidity and less money in the pocket.

This is a "you get what you pay for" kind of Hotel. Think I paid like $43 a Night and I'm not gonna lie, they gave me $43 a Night kind of service. So have no illusions of them coming through your room everyday and cleaning up the room, cleaning up the bathroom, changing the sheets or emptying the trash can. To put it bluntly "This ain't that kind of Hotel". But for $43 a Night it was very very good for the price I paid. When looking to save money and to get "decent/bare minimum" service? This is your spot in the Memphis Area. And if I'm ever back in town again looking to save money on where I stay?? I'm definitely booking a room here.

Room was exactly as pictured. Great service over the phone and at the front desk. Location inside and out was clean. I let the front desk agent know that i would be driving overnight and checking in way later than normal. He told me to be safe on my drive and that the late check in would not be a problem. Price was great for me, as I was only needing the room for a few hours to sleep from the drive.

I would say the hotel is overall decent. The service is good depending on who is at the desk. The woman name I think is Kia is really sweet, good looking and efficient with service. The rooms on the 1st floor are ok but 2nd and 3rd are great room. In the morning house keeping does a great job with getting trash and other things we used and providing us new things we need in the room if we stay another night.
